Texas. Brent Frazier, fishing guide, is the owner of

Country river. Brent is a certified First Responder with

About the river
Didn't know about the San Saba River? Don't worry
-- you're not alone. We like to think of it as the best
best-kept secret in this part of Texas. A 100-mile
tributary of the Colorado River, the San Saba offers
nearly 50 miles of sparkling, clear water in Menard
County alone. Scenery is typical of the Texas Hill
Country -- limestone bluffs and cliffs, and yucca,
cactus, cedar, oaks and pecans along the river
banks. There is very little residential development
along this section of the river and no major
impoundments. It's still nearly wild.
What to do on the San Saba
Of course, you may want to paddle just for the joy of
being on the water. But we also have outstanding
stream fishing, birding, swimming and wildlife
viewing.
